You can help Ione IDF soldiers. The Michael Levine Base organization provides support to lone IDF soldiers and to Bnot Sherut (young women performing national service in Israel). One of the ways they help these young men and women is to distribute free basic toiletry items, like socks and underwear. Since shipping these items from the States is expensive, we are asking people who will be travelling to Israel to purchase some of these items before they leave (all readily available on Amazon), and drop them off at the Michael Levine Base office in Jerusalem, The office is located right next to the Mahane Yehudashuk and is very easily accessible.
