The image of Theodor Herzl standing on his hotel balcony in Basel, Switzerland as he contemplates the future state of the Jewish people is familiar to many of us. Israeli-born artist, Michal Nachmany offers viewers the opportunity to reflect on how Israeli history and culture have evolved since Hertzl stood on the balcony. Michal will also share her memories of what it was like to grow up in Israel in the early years of the state.
