Maot Chittim

The preparation for Pesach must include a demonstration of concern for the needy.  You are urged to donate Maot Chittim through the Chesed Fund of the Synagogue in order to provide for the Pesach needs of the many people who depend on us.

If you selected that you would like the amount of your donation to be billed to you account, all checks should be sent to the Synagogue office as soon as possible, made payable to the LSS Chesed Fund.  The Liberation of the needy from want is a prerequisite to the freedom of Pesach.

Please note that all money given to the Rabbi in connection to the Sale of Chametz goes to Maot Chittim.

Pesach Hospitality

In the spirit of “Kol Dichfin Yeitei V’yechol,” we encourage our members to participate in our annual Pesach Seder Hospitality Program. We wish to ensure that all members will be able to participate in traditional seders in a warm environment.

To accomplish this, we need both hosts and guests. If you are conducting seders and can accommodate one or more guests or if you would like an invitation, please feel free to ask; you will be warmly welcomed. To participate, please contact us at hospitality@lss.org to let us know and we will contact you with details. We hope that you will join us in ensuring a meaningful Pesach for all our members. Thank you. -LSS Hospitality Committee
