From the first Shabbat services on Shabbat Hanukkah of 1964 in Apt 1 D at 150 West End Ave., a very young couple started a new congregation with a vision to make serious Judaism a viable option for any Jew. With G-d's help and the help of many dedicated wonderful congregants over the years Lincoln Square became a flagship synagogue of Modern Orthodoxy. This mission has continued over many years and we pray that the coming generations will continue to perpetuate the unique LSS tradition.
