Set in Jerusalem in the Geula neighborhood,  it tells the story of Akiva Shtisel,  who finds himself and his father, Shulem, "roommates" after his mother dies. While Shtisel spotlights elements of Haredi life, it also delves into concerns that affect us all -- the need for love and laughter, the struggle to deal with loss, and the desire for companionship
