Tuesday, October 21, 7:15pm: The New Pioneers: Rebuilding Hope in the Gaza Envelope and the Galil. Speaker: Roee Azizi, Founder & Executive Director of Hinenu – Pioneers of Hope. In the aftermath of October 7^th, Roee left his job in Jerusalem and moved to Sderot where he launched an organization that he named “Hinenu” (“here we are”) echoing the “Hineni” response that Avraham and Moshe uttered when HaShem spoke to them.
The driving force of Hinenu is the desire to turn the horrible tragedy of 10/7 into a ‘moral mitzvah’, by creating an inclusive, caring and meaningful way of life and restoring communities that had been so devastated.

Today, nearly 200 young pioneers have moved to the Gaza Envelope and Galil and are revitalizing these regions through building communities, creating quality employment, fostering Jewish learning, and promoting civic leadership. Most of them are professionals employed in fields like medicine, social work, the military and education. They span a wide range of religious and political views. What they have in common is love – and deep concern – for the State of Israel.
