Directing the Jewish Ethical Wills Project draws on Lizzie’s professional background in philanthropy, law, and Jewish education, as well as as her personal interest in narrative and legacy.  Previously, she was Executive Director of the Jewish Foundation for Education of Women: a non-sectarian private foundation helping low-income women achieve their educational and career goals. She serves on the Board of the Stella and Charles Guttman Foundation.

The What Matters Committee is excited to present an evening of exploration into the concept and historical practice of Ethical Wills, with a presentation by Lizzie Leiman Kraiem. centuries, ethical wills have been a resource for passing our values on to other generations and a tool for guiding our own actions. In this program, we will learn about the history of this meaningful practice and how it is is being revived, read examples of early and contemporary ethical wills, and consider how thinking about ethical wills may help us to prepare for Passover.
