Committees
Committees
Lincoln Square has a number of volunteer-led committees. These committees help plan, organize and manage various programs and activities for the community.
If you have a question for one of the committees, are interested in learning more, or would like to volunteer, please reach out to the committee representatives below.
Don't see a committee you think we need? Consider starting one yourself? Email the president.
Hospitality
Lincoln Square Synagogue is committed to making sure every member of the community, and every visitor to the community, has a place to enjoy a warm, friendly Shabbat meal. To request or offer hospitality please visit our Hospitality page, or email us at hospitality@lss.org
Security
Security Notice: Have you considered joining the Lincoln Square Security Committee? Well now's the time to step up! Basic training courses commence mid January, and advanced classes mid February.
Contact the Security Chair 'Ian Silver' at security@lss.org for further details.
Remember, If you see something, Say something.
Security volunteers are needed to help protect our LSS family on Shabbat and holidays. To sign up or request information, email security@lss.org or speak to any volunteer. Security and safety are the responsibility of all shulgoers. Be aware of suspicious objects as you approach the shul and as you enter any room. Make it a habit to check under and near your seats when you sit down. And consider joining our security volunteers. Contact Ian Silver for details.
Youth
The LSS youth committee is dedicated to creating a warm, fun, and educational environment for our children while they’re at shul. Our activities include programming Shabbat and holiday groups and minyanim for all ages, creating community-building activities and outings for teens and tweens, and developing special events throughout the year. To join our committee, please email Edina Sultanik
