New Building Update - February 3, 2012 -

NEW BUILDING UPDATE                                                  February 3, 2012
Construction Progresses on our New Building!
The North elevator machinery has been hoisted to the top of the shaft so installation can begin. When operational, use of this elevator will allow removal of the hoist and erection of the main stairway. The large gas supply pipes are being welded and positioned.

What You Can See . . .
This view from inside the main sanctuary shows the completed front glass ribbons.

The large window at the West end of the lobby has been installed; sheetrock on the walls begins to define the lobby space.

Behind the Curtains . . .
The pew design has been finalized based review of the final seating layout and mockup. Contractors continue to remediate existing as well as current deficiencies.

NEW BUILDING UPDATE

January 27, 2012
Construction Progresses on our New Building!
The windows of the first floor offices have been installed. Duct work for the air conditioning is substantially complete and ready for connection to the fire alarm system. This is required so that the A/C system will purge smoke from the building in case of fire. Sprinkler, other plumbing, and electrical work continues. Such life-safety infrastructure components must be complete before occupancy.

Glass is being installed on the first level of the facade. Stonework, masonry, and roofing continues weather permitting. Behind the Curtains . . .
The team is working on accelerating construction of the main stairway which is a critical item on the occupancy schedule.
