Amsterdam Minyan is a new addition to the dynamic Upper West Side minyanim, one designed to add a new flavor to this colorful palate.
The minyan, for young professionals, single or married, in their 20s and 30s, meets one shabbat a month at
Lincoln Square Synagogue. It is an intimate minyan (aiming for between 50 and 100 participants) where you can easily meet new people.
It is under the leadership of
Mrs. Elana Stein Hain,
Community Scholar, and it is run by
Rabbinic Intern Michael Goon and its speakers include guest activists, professionals and scholars, as well as the other members of the Lincoln Square clergy –
Rabbi Shaul Robinson,
Senior Rabbi,
Rabbi Elli Ausubel,
Assistant Rabbi.In addition to its warmth and its active engagement of its participants, the Amsterdam Minyan is set apart by its out of the box Shabbat morning activities: panels, debates, text study, ask the clergy, etc., etc., etc.
